Handmade in the Heartland Craft Show

Saturday morning I had a booth at the Handmade in the Heartland craft show.

I love setting up and getting ready for my booths, getting all the details just right.
Pulling the tablecloths evenly over the tables.
Adding the signs to all my items, making sure they look their best.
Organizing the cookies so that they are perfect for the drooling.
And lastly, preparing the bags and tissue paper for any customer to get their "sweet" packaged!

And although I didn't sell much, the experience was fun!  I got to spend rare time with my sister and helper, Melody.
I  was also able to walk around and enjoy the other inventive crafters and all the crazy things people come up with!

I was disappointed that I didn't sell any of my new mason lanterns though.
And only one of my  forty-two cake stands sold.
But I did get to share my leftover lemon bars and cookies, which made me feel like it was all worth a little something!

Now I am thinking about venturing on and making my business a more permanent and prosperous one in Wichita... we shall see what comes next?

Crafting!

I love crafting!  My most recent idea includes turning a mason jar and some scrapbook paper into a lantern...

They still need some embellishments...  but I am not as sure about them as I am about
my cake stands selling at the craft show this weekend.
What do you think?
